Ok so this is my last post for today. One of the girls at work niece has just had a baby over in the UK and she asked me if I would make her a baby card. The only criteria was could I make it very pretty and very girly and could it be an easel card. Wow that’s a hard brief for a girl who is not girly in any way shape of form, but the easel card was the easy bit.
It took me pretty much all of Sunday to make this card and I have since changed it a bit since this photo was taken. I decided to add some glitter to the stork on the inside of the card. I used one of the pink apothecary art cards I made at Sally’s class last Friday night for inspiration. You wouldn’t believe it but I had almost finished this card and then completely stuffed it up and had to start all over again… DUH!!!!
I am going to be giving this card to Joanne tomorrow and am very nervous about doing so. I always worry about whether the cards will be good enough when someone has asked for something in particular, especially seeing as they are paying me for it. I really really hope she likes it. I hope you do too.
This is the front of the card. Do you think its girly enough? I embossed the stork and baby in melon mambo embossing powder.
The stork is embossed on vellum and really does look very effective. I used the edgelits to make the scalloped edge at the bottom of the card.
As I mentioned before I have since added to glitter the to wings of the stork and it looks fantastic. I hope you have enjoyed looking at my latest creation.
Thanks for visiting.
