Just popping in to show you the second card in April’s ESAD Birthday Fairy card set.
Did you guess the colour I choose to use?
Have you worked out what the common theme was for this series.
As you may remember, I usually make quite a few of these cards each month and as a result I tend to pick a common theme, colour, idea etc and run with it for the whole months birthday fairy cards and just mix it up a little.
This month the common theme was using the Subtle Collections Designer Series Paper. I love this product it always has soft patterns and as it uses the colours in the Subtles colour group it matches perfectly with the coordinating card stock.
|Subtles Designer Series Paper Stack
|Designer Series paper makes it easy to create a card or Designer Series paper makes it easy to create a card or scrapbook page with coordinating background paper, cardstock, and stamped images.
* 12″ x 12″
* 40 sheets per package, 2 each of 2 double-sided designs in 10 colors
* Acid free, lignin free
This is what it looks like on my SHOP page, it can be found under the PAPER, Designer Series Paper section.
It really is a very versatile product and comes in all five standard colour families as well as the two in-colour families. The subtle pattern changes every year just to mix it up a bit.
Well enough about the Subtles DSP pack onto today’s card.
Again, I started with Whisper White card stock (such a valuable product, you always need a packet on hand), but this time I used Bashful Blue. I love this blue it’s such a soft colour and perfect for baby boy cards. As in the previous card I used Flower Shop stamp set and Petite Petals stamp set and punched the flowers out with the coordinating punches. The DSP was tied together with Bashful Blue Grosgrain Ribbon and Basic Pearls were added for that feminine touch.
As you know I can’t leave the inside of the card plain.
Nice and simple inside, just a mat of Bashful Blue card stock and the large flower from Flower Shop and the small ones from Petite Petals stamped in Bashful Blue ink.
Do you decorate the inside of your cards or leave them? I would love to hear what your personal preferences are. Don’t forget to leave me a comment about my card if you want. I love to hear what you think of my stuff.
Now that you know what my theme is see if you can guess what colour tomorrow’s card will be.
Thanks for visiting.
