Well I am still keeping busy with my card making and blogging. 🙂
My dad and his partner Lyn, have asked me to send them 3 male birthday cards and 3 female birthday cards to send to their friends throughout the year.
I have a heap of already made cards from the past several years worth of classes I have been attending but I still like to make a couple of new ones for them too. I will most likely make them 6 new cards and then send them a couple of extras from my stash.
I purchased this stamp set and matching designer series paper probably about a year ago and have never used either of them until now, it was offered as a special and sadly both have now been retired.
I cased a card made by Ilina Crouse and just added a little extra here and there.
Obviously it has lots and lots of layers which I just love.
It is a really simple card to make the only tricky bit is that I used white embossing powder to emboss the arrow and starburst circle. I used the Banners Framelits to die cut the large banner of designer series paper and my Circle framelits for the two large circles. I also added a bit of bakers twine for some texture.
As always I decorated the inside of the card too.
The colours used in this card are Island Indigo, Real Red, and Whisper White card stock. The birthday greeting was stamped in VersaMark and then embossed with white embossing powder.
Unfortunately, as I said the stamp set and designer series paper is no longer available, however you can still purchase the card stock, framelits and ink and embossing powders I have used just pop on over to my Stampin’ Up! shop to get yours today.
