More from Stamp Club

These next three cards I made last Sunday at Shan’s stamp club for this month.  They are all very different but also so very pretty.

We used Vintage Vogue (an old fav) and embossed the flowers with white embossing powder then sponged around them to make them really stand out. I love this technique it is so simple but is incredibly effective.  I changed my card to landscape rather than a portrait card like the sample.

Another clean card where we coloured in the flowers and leaves on the stamp.  Nice and quick if you are in a hurry.

Love love love this card.  So quick and simple with  next to no stamping but gosh it looks great.  I love the new edgelits they make a card look so elegant.

More Rue Des Fleurs Cards

Ok so this is probably my most favourite stamp set at the moment, and as these cards show it is so very very versatile if you just have a little imagination.

Sally saw some similar cards to these at the recent Stampin Up! convention that she attended in Canberra this month and wanted to make them with us as soon as she got back.  I’m so glad she did as they are just gorgeous, lots of work and a bit fiddly but gosh they look great.

Love love love this card.  I love black and white together I think it is just so elegant and that little touch of cherry cobbler really stands out.  We cut out the top of the umbrella and stuck it on with dimensionals.

We used the pleated ribbon in this one.  I’m not overly keen on the flower (I guess I can always pull it off if I choose too) but other than that I do love this card.  The new framelits are so easy to use and are one of my favourite tools at the moment.

As usual I am posting my most favourite card last.  Not sure why I do that!!! I can’t tell you how much I LOVE this card.  We gold embossed the corset and the umbrella then cut them out and created this gorgeous dress, fit for a princess hey?  The cherry cobbler ribbon on the hem just sets off the gold embossing so well.  This one was a bit fiddy but the result really is amazing.

Rue Des Fleurs Box, Mini Card & Card Set

Hello again,

I figured while I was logged on and posting I would try to catch up on my postings.  I made this card/box set at Sally’s card class last Friday for her Mother’s Day class.  I just love this new stamp set and of course lending itself to the vintage/shabby chic look, Sal had to use her two favourite colours.

First we decorated a little little box that holds six mini matching cards, then we made a full size matching card.  I  know we made this with the intent of sending it to our mothers, but I think I will be keeping this one and might have to make some more.

I just love this whole ensemble its just my style and although it was a very very late night (we didn’t leave until 12.30am, after starting at 7.30pm) I really think it was worth the late night.  What do you think?

Firstly I want to show you the little box it’s just too cute.

Take a closer look at that decorated lid.

Don’t you just love those flowers?  I put a pearl in the centre of mine to add a bit more elegance. Here’s a close up of the flowers.

We also stamped around the outside of the box, I also sponged around the edges of the box to make it look a bit more vintage.

Here are the mini cards we made too.  We put as much effort into the mini cards as we did with the box.  Sal never does things by half’s…. tee hee

Which one is your favourite?  Hard to choose hey?  We even did some stamping inside of the mini cards too.  I think the second and the fourth one are my favourites.

Here is the matching card we made to match this gorgeous set.

Isn’t this just beautiful?  I really think this gift set was well worth all the effort.  It’s another winner by Sally in my books… 🙂
